Steve Munoz

Steve Munoz was born in 1948 and raised in Brooklyn. He graduated from SUNY Maritime College in 1970 with a degree in Marine Engineering. He started at ConEdison’s Hudson Ave plant in 1971 but quickly moved on to Unit 1 at Indian Point in 1972. After a short time, he was transferred to the newly constructed Unit 3 under the New York Power Authority. Under NYPA, Steve worked in Operations, Tech Services, and later as the Director of Project Engineering in 1988. One of his major duties was working to enact Three Mile Island upgrades and design changes. He returned to tech services in the 1990s. He retired in September 2000 before Unit 3 was sold to Entergy. Steve later worked as a consultant for Entergy’s Unit 2.
