Patrick Falciano

Patrick (Pat) Falciano was born in the Bronx in 1949. He started at Indian Point in 1970 as an Instrument & Control (I&C) Technician for ConEdison. From 1973-1981 he worked as a Health Physicist involved in radiation protection on Unit 2. In 1981, Pat transitioned to the training department where he worked as a training instructor and later senior training instructor until 2007. After determining that the local community would benefit from access to Indian Point, Pat developed his own community tour program. Since implementation in 2002, Pat has guided hundreds of people throughout the site. This interview gives intimate detail of radiation protection technology and protocol, ConEdison working culture, domestic lifestyle, workforce training, public education, and a broad description about nuclear power.
